Hysterical Skit Nails the Struggle of Selling on Facebook Marketplace

A hysterical skit nails the struggle of selling something on Facebook Marketplace. Those attempting to sell something on Facebook will run into some particular situations, which this sketch uses to great comedic effect. Watch the short but hilarious sketch to see what is likely to happen when trying to sell something on Facebook.

Social media has significantly impacted and changed our lives in various ways. Some of those changes are for the better, while others are, without a doubt, for the worse. We are more connected than ever, making communicating with someone on the other side of the country or world easy. However, most of the population is now addicted to their phones. People cannot take a walk outside without their faces looking down, buried in their phones.

How and where we sell items is yet another way social media has dramatically changed our lives. Facebook’s Marketplace lets users buy and sell a whole host of items on the popular social media platform. However, as anyone who has ever tried to sell on Marketplace knows, there are several situations that you’ll inevitably encounter. A sketch posted on YouTube hilariously nails all of them.

In the skit, a man is trying to sell golf clubs on Facebook Marketplace, which he happily announces. But his happiness is temporary, given the type of people who inquire about his clubs.

The first individual, even though they see and acknowledge the listing price, comes in with an insulting, lowball offer that is immediately and without hesitation rejected.

“I know it says $800, but would you take $50?” the potential buyer asks.

“No! Next!” the seller responds.

Next, and likely the funniest part about the entire skit, is the number of people asking, “Is this still available?” and immediately disappearing after their annoying question is answered. Again, anyone who has ever used Marketplace completely understands this scenario.

Job 8:21 “The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.”
