Kind Man Comes To The Rescue Of Calf Stuck in A Tree

What most calves don’t know is that when a calf meets a tree, the tree wins every time. But a kind man comes to the rescue of a calf when it finds itself stuck in between two trees. If you’ve ever had a bad day, I want you to know you’re never alone. Even calves–those sweet, innocent creatures from the barnyard can get themselves into a pickle or two.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I grew up on a ranch, and I know how precocious these sweet little creatures can be. They love to prance and run with the zoomies and try to eat grass like their mama’,s and they love a few good scratches around their ears. The downside of being a calf is their curiosity. They get themselves stuck in the weirdest places like fences, in your backyard, in ponds, and like this calf, sometimes tangled up in a tree.

This calf decided that putting its head between two trees was a good idea. It’s as if the trees whispered, “Come here, young calf, and experience the greatest headlock of your life!” And being the curious creature it was, the calf said, “Sure, why not?”

It’s moments like this when you need a little human intervention because the good Lord told us to rule over the works of His hands (Psalms 8:6-9). Enter the man who spotted the distressed calf, head stuck, body wiggling, and obviously not understanding how trees can be so unforgiving. The poor thing was trapped and in serious danger—until this kind man arrived like a hero straight out of a barnyard drama.

What did he do? Well, he didn’t just stand there with a furrowed brow, pondering the situation like a confused farmhand (I mean, I would have). No, this man assessed the situation like a pro. He rolled up his sleeves, prepared for a battle against nature’s grip, and decided to lift the calf. That's right, folks—he lifted a calf whose head was very much wedged in a tree gap that no one should ever have to deal with.

And after some squirming, determination, and a few prayers, the calf's head slipped free. Victory! Not only did the calf get a second chance at life, but we all got a good reminder that sometimes, even trees can teach us about how we don’t want to be stuck in life.

Now, if you find yourself in a similar predicament (because, you know, getting your head stuck between two trees is such a common occurrence), here’s a pro tip from our hero: If lifting isn’t an option, wait until a kind human comes along to offer help—no need to panic—just good ol' practical thinking.

So, here’s to the calves who get stuck, the kind humans who save the day, and the occasional reminder that life doesn’t always go as planned. But as long as there’s a rescue mission involved, we’ll all be just fine—head and all!

Psalm 82:4 "Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."

Comparison pumps me up or tears me down depending on who I’m comparing myself to, and I finally heard God whispering, “That’s enough, daughter. Let me reveal my truth.”
