High School Choir’s Stunning Rendition of ‘Because He Lives (Amen)’

A high school choir delivered a stunning rendition of “Because He Lives (Amen).” The gifted young people put their immense talents on full display while performing a tune about the Lord’s inexplicable and astounding love, faithfulness and forgiveness. Watch the video to listen to this choir’s powerful, moving performance.

Human beings have a knack, a skill, for dirtying and messing things up. Man’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden invited and unleashed sin into the world. Since that act, nothing has been the same. Sin has ruined, wrecked and destroyed everything it has encountered, including marriages, careers and entire lives.

But because God had pity and love for us, a bunch of sinners, He sent His Son to Earth, a willing sacrifice who suffered and died on the cross. That ultimate act of love paid a debt we could never fulfill, bridging the gap and divide that sin had caused between God and man. So, because of Him, we can be forgiven and look forward to an eternity with Him. Because He lives, we can face tomorrow.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a group of high school students, the High School Choir of Gospel Light Baptist Academy, sings about how, because of Christ, we have a future and hope.

“Because He Lives (Amen)” is a song that perfectly captures and articulates the difference Christ makes in the life of every sinner who comes forward and professes the name of Jesus.

“Because He lives

I can face tomorrow

Because He lives

Every fear is gone”

Not only do these young people beautifully belt out the song's lyrics, but several students play instruments in the video. There is simply a ton of musical talent and skill packed into this nearly five-minute video.

John 6:57 “As the living Father has sent me, and I have life because of the Father, even so he who takes me for food will have life because of me.”
