Comedian Serves Up a Side-Splitting Song About Fast Food
A comedian serves up a side-splitting song about fast food. Jonnie W.’s talent, wit and gift for language and songwriting shine through in this hysterical song parody. As you listen to Jonnie’s original tune about the fast-food industry, you’ll find yourself doubled over, laughing out loud.
For any comedy to work, it must have some truth and relatability. That rule applies to everything that is supposed to be considered humorous. It doesn’t matter if it’s a sitcom, a movie, a stand-up special or a short comedic clip posted on YouTube; if the audience can’t relate to the jokes or the bits somehow, it will simply not work. If not, you’re likely to hear crickets instead of people laughing.
Fast food is something most people are more than a little familiar with. Drive down the road, and you’re bound to see a handful of highly recognizable fast-food joints within a few blocks of one another. Additionally, we are all likely guilty of eating more fast food than we’d care to admit. It may taste good, but of course, we know it’s not exactly the healthiest food option in the world.
In a clip posted on YouTube, Jonnie sings a hilarious song about his experience with fast food. The song, Jonnie explains, is written from the perspective of someone behind the counter who watches him as he orders and then eats his meal from several very popular fast-food establishments.
“Wish that you would try something that is green
But it’s all batter-fried
Man, you even fried your cheese”
Also, to some, the music might sound very familiar. That’s because Jonnie’s song is a parody of Five for Fighting’s “Superman (It’s Not Easy).”
Sure, we could and should all eat less fast food. It also probably wouldn’t hurt to drop a few pounds, either. But just like Jonnie’s song about the food from places like McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Captain D’s, it’s just so good!
Proverbs 17:22 “A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.”

A Prayer to Freely Give of Ourselves This Christmas - Your Daily Prayer - December 4
Freely giving of ourselves may seem and feel at times like it’s costing us more than we can afford. But instead, it’s adding up to more than we thought was possible to receive.
