Emotional ‘Green and Gold’ Trailer Is an Inspiring Story of Dreams and Resilience

The emotional “Green and Gold” trailer tells an inspiring story about dreams and resilience. From one look at the trailer, this film promises to hit you directly in the heart and cause you to reach for the tissues. Check out the powerful and moving trailer that may even cause a tear or two to stream down your face.

Life is often unpredictable, with many unforeseen ups and downs. We all love being on the mountaintop, enjoying the best of what life has to offer. However, the lows and the deep, dark valleys are a completely different story. No one enjoys pain, hurt and heartache, but we’ll experience our fair share of them. It’s impossible to go through life unscathed.

“Green and Gold” is the story of one family going through one of those deep, dark valleys as they are on the verge of losing their fourth-generation family farm. The opening moments of the film’s trailer make it abundantly clear that the farm means everything to Grandpa Buck.

“For my Grandpa Buck, farming wasn’t a job or even a way of life; it was a sacred act,” Jenny, his granddaughter in the film, narrates. “For him, it wasn’t the frozen tundra; it was the Garden of Eden.”

Seconds later, Jenny admits that farming is not for her. She has her sights set on something else. She aspires to become a musician and plans to see how far her musical gifts and abilities will take her in life.

About halfway through the trailer, the banker looking to foreclose on Grandpa Buck’s property offers him an interesting wager: If the Green Bay Packers win the Super Bowl, Grandpa Buck gets to keep his farm interest-free for one year. However, if the team fails to win the Lombardi trophy, Grandpa Buck must give up his cherished family farm. The odds aren’t in Grandpa Buck’s favor, but it’s his only chance to keep the farm.

Jenny and Grandpa Buck are both going after longshots – him keeping his farm and her with her music career. However, sometimes long shots do pay off, but to make them happen, both will have to put it all on the line.

Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Comparison pumps me up or tears me down depending on who I’m comparing myself to, and I finally heard God whispering, “That’s enough, daughter. Let me reveal my truth.”
