Michael Tait and Choir’s Soul-Stirring ‘We Believe’ Performance

Michael Tait and a massive choir delivered a soul-stirring “We Believe” performance. The hundreds of voices combined to make for a moving and dazzling rendition of the Newsboys hit. Check out the clip to watch and listen to the powerful rendition.

The world is a sad, lonely and broken place. Sin has done a number on the world and its hurting and struggling inhabitants. Sin has utterly ruined and destroyed anything and everything with which it has come into contact. Sin and its repercussions have devastated marriages, careers and entire lives.

As horrible an impact sin has had on this world, perhaps its worst, most damaging effect has been that it leaves people without hope. Without any hope, people will simply give up and surrender, choosing to throw in the towel. If there is no future and they’ve already lost, why bother continuing the fight? In that case, wouldn’t the simple, most sensible solution be to wave the white flag?

In a clip posted on YouTube, Michael Tait, lead singer of the Newsboys, along with the First Dallas Choir, performs a song about the hope and future found in Jesus Christ. “We Believe” recognizes all this world's hurt, darkness and hopelessness. However, as the song’s beautifully written lyrics state, there is an answer to whatever may ail you.

“We believe in God the Father

We believe in Jesus Christ

We believe in the Holy Spirit

And He’s given us new life”

Like the performance captured in the five-minute clip, the lyrics are powerful. Christ freely offers love, forgiveness and a future to all. He can and does inject hope into a situation where there appears to be none. He can make a way and turn things around when the outcome and road ahead appears bleak. In Christ, we find forgiveness and hope because there is no future without Him.

Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope make you full of joy and peace through faith, so that all hope may be yours in the power of the Holy Spirit.”
