Brothers Of The Heart Captivate with Beautiful 'Amie' Cover

Listen to this captivating performance from Brothers Of The Heart of the song ‘Amie.’

‘I can see why you think you belong to me

I never tried to make you think, or let you see one thing for yourself

But now your off with someone else and I'm alone

You see I thought that I might keep you for my own’

The group Brothers Of The Heart started as four award-winning, talented friends making music together which then turned into a nationally-renowned band. The group includes artists Jimmy Fortune, Ben Isaacs, Bradley Walker, and Mike Rogers.

In this music video, Brothers Of The Heart are performing live in Nashville, TN at the Grand Ole Opry. They sound incredible together, and they do a great job covering this classic song.

“This is like listening to music from heaven,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “Jimmy is amazing though the rest of the group just nails the harmonies and elevates the group performance to new highs. True talent.”

As for the background of ‘Amie,’ the song is by country rock group Pure Prairie League. It initially appeared on the band's 1972 album, Bustin' Out, but it was not released as a single until 1975.

Craig Fuller was one of the co-founders of Pure Prairie League, along with John David Call and George Powell. Craig is best known for singing the lead to Pure Prairie League’s biggest hit, ‘Amie,’ and he shared why he believes the song became so popular with audiences.

“I think ‘Amie’ resonated with a lot of people at a certain point in their lives when they were young and having experiences that they would look back on as the greatest times of their lives,” Craig Fuller said. “And a lot of college stations played the song.”

We hope that you enjoyed listening to Brothers Of The Heart’s rendition of the song ‘Amie’ today!
