Police Officer Rescues Dogs Trapped in Hot Van
A police officer came to the rescue of two dogs that were trapped in a hot van.
Animals are some of the most extraordinary and fascinating creatures you’ll ever encounter. Those cute, furry and four-legged beings are part of His creation. They were shaped and formed by the same God who put the sun, moon and stars in place.
Because those critters are obviously important to the Lord, they deserve a fair amount of love, care and respect. They should be treated humanely and in a way that brings glory and honor to His name. So, it’s always heartbreaking and likely to anger many people when they witness an animal being treated poorly.
A clip posted on YouTube shows a sad and infuriating incident in which two small dogs were locked inside a hot van in a Las Vegas parking lot. Luckily, a kind and caring police officer arrived on the scene, spotted the animals struggling inside the vehicle and frantically got to work.
The video shows the police officer first attempting to use her hands to push the slightly cracked window down. However, the officer’s initial attempts to free the animals from the balmy van were unsuccessful, so she moved on to more drastic measures.
The concerned officer used a crowbar to try and open the window, eventually shattering the van’s window. The animals were finally freed from their sweltering environment. The temperature in the van, where the two little dogs were trapped, was more than 110 degrees.
After being freed, the animals were taken to get medical treatment and transferred to a shelter. The clip also mentioned that the dog’s owners are under investigation. It’s unclear if any charges will be filed against the individuals.
Thank God for the police officer’s quick and decisive actions. She likely saved the lives of those two little precious pups.
Proverbs 12:10 “An upright man has thought for the life of his beast, but the hearts of evildoers are cruel.”
