Kevin Bacon's Hilarious Lecture to Daughter About How and What She Texts
Longtime Hollywood actor gave his daughter a stern but hilarious lecture about how and what she texts him.
Communication is an essential part of any relationship. Proper communication and understanding of what someone is saying or trying to get across are necessary. That’s why excellent, crystal-clear communication is needed in every aspect of life—on the job, in a marriage and when parenting/raising children.
One of the most common forms of communication is texting on those little devices that seem attached to most people’s hands. Everyone seems to be constantly scrolling and typing on their phones. Either they are reading a newly received message, or they are working on one, preparing to transmit it to someone else.
However, people are obsessed with multitasking and getting as much done as possible in a short window of time. Therefore, people may not always type out those messages with the greatest care and attention to detail. They may leave out a word, forget a letter in a word or create an entirely new word in their rush to send a text message.
In a hilarious clip posted on social media, Kevin scolds his daughter for her horrible spelling in her messages to him. He goes so far as to call her texting “completely unintelligible.
Sosie Bacon, Kevin’s daughter, takes her father’s harsh criticism of her texting and spelling in stride. She responds by laughing at how much it seems to bother him.
He then asks her if there is an app or some system in the phone that helps her properly spell and spell-check the words she includes in text messages.
“Isn’t there something in the phone that shows you how to spell things? Because how is it actually letting you write these words?” Kevin asks.
Everyone has probably hurried through a text message and sent a misspelled word a time or two. On the other hand, we’ve also likely received a text message in which we couldn’t figure out what the other person meant. Maybe we should all slow down and check those messages before hitting send!
Job 8:21 “The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.”
