Friendship and Kindness Shine In 'An Almost Christmas Story' Trailer

Get excited about a new upcoming Christmas cartoon. Friendship and kindness shine in “An Almost Christmas Story” trailer.

At the start of this trailer, the question is asked, “Have you ever wondered what makes a Christmas story a Christmas story?” We see an owl flying in the air, and the narrator talks about snow and trees. He shares that you cannot have a tree without a forest. As we follow the owl through the sky, we see the city lights off in the distance. The baby owl almost gets attacked by a predator bird. He falls to the tree below and is told by his father that he will be ok and to stay in the tree. Suddenly, we see the owl exit the tree that has now been transferred to the city and decorated for Christmas.

The sweet little owl is now stuck in the city and unable to find his way home. He ends up on the subway, and a little boy befriends him. We proceed to see clips of the boy and the bird adventuring in the busy city during the holiday season. We are left with questions about where the boy’s parents are and how he got on the streets of the city alone. We see an unlikely friendship develop in the midst of trials. It inspires us and leads us to want to see more. The movie is a short film by award-winning creators. As we watch this trailer, may it remind us to look for the least of these this holiday season.

Jesus modeled this perfectly, and we can remember that He came to us. We were lost and alone, and He rescued us. We can rejoice in Him every day.

“And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”  Matthew 25:40
