One man, a retiree in his 70s, has found a new purpose in spreading joy as a school bus driver. This is such a sweet and heartwarming story—one that you will surely not want to miss. Be sure to check out this clip!

For most people, retirement is a lifelong goal. They earnestly and diligently plan for it and eagerly await it. When retirement becomes a reality, many individuals use their newfound freedom and extra time to travel, tackle that project around the house that has been put off for years or spend even more time with their grandchildren.

Typically, the last thing on most people’s minds during retirement is starting a new career or getting a 9-5 job. At the very least, they want to kick back and take it easy. But Bill Nagle is not everyone. After retiring, the 72-year-old former food sales manager came out of retirement to drive a school bus.

A clip posted on YouTube explains how Bill became a school bus driver. He is now using his newfound position and purpose to spread joy to students, teachers and school administrators. Bill has quickly become beloved in the school system and has even picked up a nickname: “Mr. Bill.”

“I retired from my food job that I had for 35 years, and I passed this building and saw a school bus with a sign on it that they were hiring,” Bill said.

According to the clip, he answered the call and has been driving since seeing that help-wanted ad.

Bill and the students on his bus traveling to and from school belting out tunes together, such as “The Wheels on the Bus.” He even has the children make animal sounds as they exit the bus.

“He’s an awesome guy,” said the school’s principal. “He takes time to learn students’ names. You can hear his bus coming up the street because usually, he’s on the loudspeaker.”

Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope fill you full of joy and peace through faith, so that all hope may be yours in the power of the Holy Spirit.”
