5-Year-Old Stuns with Flawless Piano Performance

You won’t believe this Bach cover piece is performed by tiny little fingers. Nicole Bresciani, a five-year-old, stuns the world with her flawless piano performance. I remember taking piano lessons as a child, and I remember how often I would play the wrong note. I didn’t have a knack for it. Of course, when I had kids, I thought it was important they learn how to play the piano, too. While my kids did so much better than I did, none of us could hold a candle to Nicole. She is one incredibly talented little girl.

As her small fingers effortlessly navigate the intricate melodies of Back, she plays each note with joy, intense concentration, and joy. I think what sets Nicole apart besides being a young prodigy is how her talent reflects who she is in the Lord. Every chord is an act of worship and a reminder that we all have a Creator who has blessed each of us with unique talents. For some, it’s repairing machines; for others, it’s crunching numbers or caring for the sick. Whatever talent God has given you, we can be like Nicole and use it for God’s kingdom.

Watching her perform is definitely a humbling experience, one that encourages us to reflect on our own gifts. One fellow piano player couldn’t help but comment on how difficult the piece was that Nicole played. He said, “What beautiful phrasing.  One of the hardest aspects to grasp with Bach is that of polyphony versus homophony- the sense of line to the individual parts.  This girl’s interpretation reveals a musical maturity well beyond her years.”

Another one of her 1.61 thousand fans added, “I am sixty-three years old.  If I spent my entire life learning piano and had finally reached her current level of mastery, I feel like I could be justifiably and truly proud of myself.  She's five years old.  I cannot imagine what gifts this amazing angel could bring to this world.  She really does give me hope for the future.”

We couldn’t agree more. Nicole has a future in music. This won’t be the last we see of her.

Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”
