Comedian’s Hilarious Teaching Tales Have Everyone Cracking Up

A comedian’s hilarious teaching tales have everyone cracking up. The teacher-turned-comedian shared some of his absolutely hysterical experiences of his time as an educator. Watch the short but uproarious and laugh-out-loud clip that will have you laughing from beginning to end.

Teaching is one of the most important jobs. Those men and women in the classroom are molding, influencing and impacting the next generation. What they say and do, and the knowledge they dispense in the classroom will affect those children for years to come.

However, like all jobs and professions, crazy, unexpected and downright hilarious things can and do happen. This is especially true when it comes to educating young men and women. A clip posted on social media proves this to be 100 percent true.

Orlando Baxter was a high school teacher before becoming a full-time stand-up comic. He shares some of the hilarious situations and circumstances he encountered, which is part of the reason he gave up the profession. He explains that his first year teaching was as a substitute.

“I taught for 12 years,” he said. “The first year was rough; I was a substitute. The substitute teacher’s the worst, right? Especially that first day, you know? Walk into class, kids all in my face, ‘You ain’t no real teacher. You ain’t no real teacher, sir. Because if you were, you wouldn’t be crying.’”

After being a history teacher, he became the school’s in-school suspension teacher. He would encounter some of the school’s troubled youth in that position.

“I remember one time the principal escorted a kid to my room,” he said. “He said, ‘Mr. Baxter, this is Derek. Derek’s been making cat noises in the class. He’s not on his medication today. We’re going to leave him in here with you as a safety precaution.”

The entire clip is one hilarious story after another. Orlando has the whole studio audience rolling with laughter.

Job 8:21 “The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.”
