Carol Burnett is a comedic legend who has had an incredibly successful career that has spanned several decades. For years, she has kept audiences entertained and laughing themselves silly, winning her legions of dedicated fans.

Everyone loves Carol for her comedic talent and razor-sharp, quick wit, which she so often displayed on The Carol Burnett Show. She is one immensely talented lady, for sure. But underneath all that talent, she seems to be a genuinely kind and caring individual, and people will always appreciate someone at her level treating others with kindness and respect.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Carol demonstrated some of that kindness in the sweet way she responded to a young man’s dinner request. She, without a doubt, did not see his question coming, but she handled it well and likely gave him a memory he would never forget.

“I’ve been an admirer of yours for many years,” the young man said. “I was wondering if you’d have dinner with us tonight.”

First, Carol was surprised by the child’s statement that he’d been a fan of hers for many years. The young man looked about 10 or 11 and later revealed himself to be 12 years old.

“You’ve been an admirer of mine for many years, and you were wondering if I would have dinner with you tonight,” Carol said. “Aren’t you adorable? How old are you?”

Carol answers that, unfortunately, she’s unable to get dinner with him but proposes something else instead.

“Well, Sean, I can’t have dinner with you tonight,” she said. “But if you’ll come backstage afterwards, I’ll split a Mars bar with you.”
