Jonathan Roumie Nails Marlon Brando, Ray Romano and Bob Dylan Impressions on The Tonight Show
Jonathan Roumie nailed impressions of Marlon Brando, Ray Romano and Bob Dylan on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. “The Chosen” actor showed he has a real talent for using his voice to sound like some of the biggest names in entertainment. Watch the short but hilarious and mesmerizing clip of Jonathan’s appearance on The Tonight Show.
An actor’s job is to convince the audience that they are someone else, preferably the person they are portraying on the screen. We all know some people are better at their jobs than others. The same goes for actors and actresses. We’ve all watched something where the actor on the screen seemed to embody their role entirely. On the other hand, we’ve also seen some pretty awful acting.
Jonathan is best known for playing Jesus Christ in the wildly popular “The Chosen” series, which has won many dedicated fans since its debut several years ago. However, during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Jonathan showed that he has a few other skills you may not have known about and shared some of his background before his role in “The Chosen.”
In the clip posted on YouTube, Jonathan demonstrated that he can do some scary-good impressions of Marlon Brando, Ray Romano and Bob Dylan.
While talking with Jimmy, Jonathan effortlessly switches from Brando to Romano and to the legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan. Jonathan sported a pair of sunglasses for his Dylan impression and even swayed back and forth like the musician as he spoke, sounding eerily similar to Bob Dylan. The studio audience loved his impressions, hooting and hollering with each one he did.
Jonathan also shared that he interned on Saturday Night Live 30 years ago.
Later in the interview, he told Jimmy how “The Chosen” came to be and how he got the part of Jesus Christ in the series.
Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
