Comedian’s Reenactment of His Wife’s Nighttime Routine is Comedy Gold

A comedian’s reenactment of his wife’s nighttime routine is absolute comedic gold. In the most hilarious way possible, the funnyman showed everyone what his wife does every night around the same time. Watch the short but hysterical clip that will have you doubled over, laughing from beginning to end.

We all have routines and rituals—things we perform every day without fail. Whether morning, noon or night, routines are necessary and important parts of our lives in hundreds, many, even thousands of different ways. Many of them we may not even be aware we do, but they’ve become such a habit that we do them without even thinking. They are automatic.

Routines, rituals and habits are comforting. They help add familiarity to our days. They make us feel like we’re in control even when that is not the case. How often have you heard someone say that their whole day was thrown off because they didn’t do something? Routines and habits are important.

In a clip posted on YouTube, comedian Jeff Allen mentions one hilarious habit that his wife does every night without fail. Likely, she is unaware that she’s doing it, but Jeff, her husband, has undoubtedly noticed her actions and routine every evening. It always happens while they are watching “Law and Order.”

“My wife falls asleep at 9:15 every night,” he said. “You could set a watch by her. At 9:10, you look at her on the couch in our living room; it’s like a gas leak goes off.”

He then imitates his wife struggling to stay awake as she fights the battle against sleep. Jeff’s exaggerated expressions make it hilariously apparent that she is losing.

“Sweetheart, maybe you should go to bed,” he says. “I’m fine. I’m fine. What are you, a 5-year-old? Quit fighting it; just go to bed!”

Jeff’s hilarious imitation of his better half’s nighttime routine has the audience rolling with laughter.

Job 8:21 “The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.”
