Parents of Four Share the Hilarious 'Rules' That Keep Their Household Running

Parents of four children share some of the hilarious “rules” that help keep their household running. Mom and Dad mentioned that they abide by these “very strict rules,” which helps them manage their house. Watch this short but hysterical clip where the couple states some hilarious ordinances and mandates.

Being a parent is, without a doubt, a blessing and a gift. Children add so much love and joy to every household. Who doesn’t love and get excited whenever a child enters the world? Little, if anything at all, gets people more excited than a new addition to the family.

However, in addition to all the joy and excitement that comes with every child, they can also be exhausting and tiring, wearing on the nerves at times. Disagree? Ask any parent, and they will wholeheartedly concur with that statement and assessment. That’s why, as parents, having a sense of humor is essential.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a mother and a father share the rules that must be followed in their household. They explain these rules, while laughing and with a heavy dose of sarcasm, are the key to keeping their house functioning optimally. If these rules aren’t adhered to closely, chaos may ensue.

The first one mentioned involves dinnertime protocol.

“All family members must not enjoy dinner on the same night,” the woman says. “If I like dinner tonight, I can’t like dinner tomorrow night.”

In keeping with the dinnertime rules, Dad adds another rule.

“Every meal, regardless of what it is, must be called ‘gross, disgusting’ before we can eat it,” he says.

Mom’s following rule concerns the volume level at which discussion must take place in the house.

“Everyone must use their outside voices at all times,” she says. “6:32 in the morning? Outside voice.”

Later in the clip, Dad hilariously mentions what must happen when it’s time to brush those pearly whites.

“Being told to brush your teeth has to be met with total shock and confusion every time,” he said.

What an absolutely hilarious set of “rules.” This clip shows that having a good sense of humor and not taking things too seriously is necessary when being a parent.

Proverbs 22:6 “If a child is trained up in the right way, even when he is old he will not be turned away from it.”
