First Glimpse of ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ Live-Action Film

The first glimpse of the “How to Train Your Dragon” live-action film has been released. Fans of the popular animated films have something else to get excited about now. Check out the short clip and see what you think about the live-action version of “How to Train Your Dragon.”

Hollywood is always looking for material and content that can be turned into films. Books have been and will always be a popular choice when filmmakers are looking for something to adapt for the big screen. Sequels and remakes, as you probably figured out by what populates your local theater, are also big in Hollywood.

However, as evidenced by one upcoming film, filmmakers are taking a different yet very familiar approach to material for movies. What else is there to do when you’ve made a sequel to this and to that or remade this particular film or movie? Well, what about turning animated films into real, live-action movies? That is precisely what has been done with “How to Train Your Dragon.”

In the video posted on YouTube, fans see the young man, Hiccup, who is destined or at least supposed to hunt dragons. He badly wants to do so but ultimately tells his father that he cannot kill dragons. But of course, instead of hunting them, he actually befriends one of them.

While the story will likely be familiar to anyone who has watched the original animated flicks, the live-action film’s photography is breathtaking. In the opening moments of the film’s trailer, viewers get wide, expansive and awe-inspiring views of the landscape: lush green valleys and crashing waves as they slam up against the rocks.

Like the animated films, the live-action adaptation of “How to Train Your Dragon” will surely be a movie the whole family can enjoy.

“How to Train Your Dragon” arrives in theaters on June 13, 2025.

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
