What This Mom Found After Letting Her Daughter Use Her Phone Will Move You to Tears

What this mom found after letting her daughter use her phone will move you to tears. When Delphine Expert handed her five-year-old daughter, Zoey, her phone to record “treasures” from their walk, she had no idea that the real treasure would turn out to be herself.

Zoey, who has autism, was nonverbal until recently. Over the last year, she explored the world through music, ski lessons, and art and started to speak a few simple words. Zoey’s ability to communicate has blossomed, and she now enjoys expressing herself more, but it’s still a challenge.

Delphine posted a video online that Zoey recorded during a walk. The video shows Zoey’s perspective as she focuses on various items like a pine cone, a dandelion, the grass, the sky, the clouds, her car, and their house. Each of these elements is captured with the innocence and curiosity of a young child exploring the world.

The most heartwarming moment comes at the end of the video. Zoey turns the camera towards her mom and shares her feelings with a joyful declaration: “And there’s my beautiful mom. She’s the best mom. I love her so much, and she’s the best mom in the whole world.” Delphine’s heart swelled with emotion as she heard these words, evidence of the years of hard work and dedication she had put into supporting her daughter’s development.

The video highlighted Zoey’s progress and captured a moment of pure, unfiltered love. She commented, “With the help of a simple camera, words came out more easily when she was alone and having fun. And she managed to express in her own way all that love she has for me in her heart but would never be able to tell me this directly.” Delphine truly knew just how special this moment was.

The video is a beautiful reminder of the simple joys in life and the profound love between a mother and her child. Indeed, the greatest treasures are sometimes found in the most unexpected places.
