96-Year-Old Has the Best Birthday Celebration at the Ballpark
You’ll never believe how this 96-year-old grandpa has the best birthday celebration at the ballpark. When he shared his simple wish, his granddaughter Courtney rallied the family to make it happen. The wish was simple: to spend the day watching his favorite baseball team at the South Padres game with his family. But the bigger wish was to see himself on the jumbotron.
As they arrived at the stadium, one family member proudly held a huge sign that read, “Happy 96th Birthday, Grandpa.” It didn’t take long for the excitement to spread among the crowds who saw the sign. Fans started cheering as the group made their way to their seats, giving Grandpa many birthday wishes to have a great birthday.
His granddaughter Courtney captured it all on camera, too. “It’s amazing to witness the goodness of people,” Courtney wrote alongside the video, capturing the overwhelming kindness from everyone around them. As the game progressed, many things made the day even more special. One woman caught a foul ball and didn’t hesitate to give it to the special birthday boy instead of keeping it. Of course, there was still one final wish that everyone hoped would come true–to see Grandpa on the big screen. It wasn’t too long before Grandpa saw himself up there. He couldn't help but smile and wave!
All in all, it was the perfect birthday celebration. This elderly gentleman got to spend the day with his loved ones, take home a foul ball as a keepsake, and finally get his wish to be on the big screen. Stories like this remind us how beautiful life is when we celebrate with loved ones. It’s not the things that matter but making memories together.
Psalm 118:24 "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."
