White Bird' Trailer Offers Glimpse At Its Moving and Powerful Story
The official trailer for the new film “White Bird” offers a glimpse at its moving and powerful story.
We will never have too much kindness in this world. It is an impossibility to have too much kindness. There will never be a situation in which someone will say we’ve reached our limit on kindness, and it’s time to start treating one another poorly. There will always be room for more compassion, empathy and love in this fallen and lost world.
A simple and unexpected act of kindness can change someone’s day, week and entire outlook. We often don’t get to see how being kind to someone impacts them and their life. But we can rest assured that we did make a difference for someone else, even if it was as simple as holding a door for them.
Who knows what kind of impact and difference kindness can make on someone else? The trailer for the new film “White Bird” answers that question.
The film shows how kindness literally saved someone’s life. Instead of repaying hate with more hate, kindness saved someone’s life from one of the most murderous, brutal and evil regimes the world has ever known.
The short clip begins with a young man starting a new school, trying to fit in with his classmates. We soon learn that this young man was expelled for mercilessly mocking and teasing another young man with a facial deformity. An older woman, played by Helen Mirren, tells him of her childhood and how she was less-than-kind to a classmate with a physical disability. To fit in with others, she mocked him and his disability.
However, instead of repaying her cruelty with more hateful, callous behavior, he helped save her life from the Nazis. That young man’s kindness made all the difference for that young woman.
Be sure to bring tissues because this is sure to be a powerful, moving and emotional tear-jerker of a film.
“White Bird” is rated PG-13 and opens in theaters on Oct. 4.
Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you.”
