Man and Cat Hilariously Recreate Iconic 'Dirty Dancing' Scene

A man and his feline friend hilariously recreated the iconic dance scene and move from the classic 1980s film “Dirty Dancing.”

Every year, Hollywood produces and releases hundreds of films. Some of them go to the theaters, others are placed on streaming platforms like Netflix and Hulu and still others get parked on video-on-demand outlets. Wherever Hollywood’s flicks go, the fact is that most are quickly forgotten soon after they are released. Most don’t deserve or aren’t worthy to be remembered.

However, a select few go on to become classics. For whatever reason, these few films are remembered and beloved even decades after their initial release date. One film from the 1980s still widely viewed by many is “Dirty Dancing,” starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

But there is one scene, one moment, that the film is best remembered for. It’s the one that likely immediately comes to most people’s mind whenever the title “Dirty Dancing” is mentioned. Of course, it’s during Patrick and Jennifer’s dance number when she leaps into the air, and he catches her and slowly turns with her elevated in the air.

A video posted on social media captured the sweet moment when a man and his cat recreated the move made famous by Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey. The memorable song “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life” plays as the man leans back, waiting for his cat dance partner. The animal then leaps on him, he catches the feline and raises the animal in the air while slowly spinning.

Many movies and television shows recreate that move, but most will agree that this one is easily one of the funniest and cutest. Everything is always better when a furry, four-legged creature is added to the mix, especially iconic dance moves from beloved 1980s movies.

Proverbs 12:10 “An upright man has thought for the life of his beast, but the hearts of evildoers are cruel.”
