Anthony Evans' Stunning Rendition of 'Wonderful, Merciful Savior'

One musically gifted young man, Anthony Evans, turned in an absolutely stunning rendition of the beloved song “Wonderful, Merciful Savior.”

No one is perfect. Everyone has failures and flaws and has made their fair share of errors and mistakes. We are all very far from perfection and will never reach it. The Bible states that we are all sinners, having fallen short of the glory of God.

However, even though we are sinners, God still loved us enough to send His one and only Son to Earth. His son, Jesus Christ, would willingly go to the cross, suffering a horrible, agonizing and brutal death. He suffered and died, taking our place so we might be forgiven and experience everlasting life with Him one day.

Because of Christ’s actions on the cross, we have hope. He did what no one else could do, fulfilling a debt that we will never be able to repay. Why did He do all of that, go through all the hurt, pain and humiliation? He did it because His love, mercy and grace are greater than all our sins.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Anthony powerfully and masterfully sings, “Wonderful, Merciful Savior.” It’s a beautifully written song about Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, which correctly praises and worships the one who came to save the world from their sins.

The song’s opening verse perfectly captures how Christ’s death changed everything for everyone, offering all humanity a chance and hope.

“Precious Redeemer and Friend

Who would have thought that a Lamb

Could rescue the souls of men

Oh, You rescue the souls of men”

Anthony’s stunning vocal performance and the powerful lyrics are enough to make even the most stoic person emotional. How could you ever listen to this song and not shed a few tears? Christ went through all that for you and me; because of it, we can be forgiven and spend eternity in heaven.

1 John 4:14 “And we have seen and give witness that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.”
