Constance interviews "America the Beautiful" Director Darryl Roberts
In 2008 a documentary called "America the Beautiful" was released, challenging our culture's obsession with beauty, plastic surgery, weight, etc. It is not a Christian film, and yet it really gets to the heart of the fact that our culture's answer to what we lack (i.e. "be beautiful and thin and life will be good") is not working. Eating disorders, food obsessions, obsessive exercise and unhappiness have pretty much been the net result. This interview is part one of two (the 2nd part is too long to post here but you can see it at www.youtube.com/truecampaign) and was the catalyst for my "month without makeup" in Feb of '09.
