Christian Solidarity Worldwide - Standing Together

At this very moment, over 200 million Christians around the world are suffering discrimination, persecution and torture. In Eritrea, around 3,000 Christians are currently imprisoned for their faith. In Iran, apostasy from Islam is punishable by death. In Colombia, over 130 church leaders have been assassinated since 2000.

The right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion is integral to the Universal Declaration on Human Rights and yet every day millions of Christians live in fear, unable to speak up for themselves about the struggle they face.

It doesn't have to be this way. We don't have to stand in silence. Solidarity lies at the heart of the Christian faith and at CSW we are committed to providing a powerful and effective voice for the voiceless.

We envisage a world in which Christians are able to practise their religion freely, and where people of all faiths live together in mutual respect. Until then, we will continue to work for all those who suffer for their Christian beliefs, speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves.
