Rain - solo piano

Rain - solo piano

Rain was my first composition for solo piano. I wrote it when I was about 18. As a kid, I used to sit on our front porch and watch it pour. There was nothing like a good July thunderstorm. The winds would kick up and the dark clouds would roll in, and

I'd just sit there and marvel at God's creation. Much of my solo piano music is inspired by everyday natural events. A gentle, December snow fall, especially when you just stand with your eyes closed, listening to the flakes hit the ground - or wild daisies
by the roadside swaying in a mild breeze - or the peace and solitude of a quiet summer day. I thank God every day that He has opened my eyes and allowed me to see Him in everything He has created.
