Bible Verses Used to Justify Abuse/Violence: Getting Help from the Secular Community
Many Christian Churches foster a variety of types of abuse of women through the misinterpretation of Scripture. Secular women who support and assist domestic abuse victims have been asked to learn the verses that complementarian Christian groups claim to justify their behaviors. Waneta Dawn, author of "Behind the Hedge," draws from her own experience as a Domestic Abuse Survivor and her work with a DA ministry in these excerpts from the Seneca Falls 2 Evangelical Woman's Rights Convention.
