Pray to End Abortion – Pray For the Abortion Providers - Popular Christian Videos

Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, continues his reflections on praying to end abortion. In this video Fr. Pavone tells us that "among those we pray for are the abortionists themselves and those who assist in running the killing center. They can be saved, they can be converted. They are not the enemy; they are captive to the enemy and our prayer is that they be set free."

"Sometimes it's just a moment of insight that causes the conversion," explains Fr. Pavone "like the abortion provider I know that was looking at the arms and legs of the aborted baby. She had seen them many times before, but at that moment she realized that these were pieces of a person and that abortion was wrong! Abortionist David Brewer also points out what happens to an abortionist. He or she will do an abortion for the first time and it is like a hot poker being stuck into their heart. It hurts. And at that moment they can either repent of the abortion they just did, or the temptation is very strong simply to rationalize it. Once you've crossed that line and you've killed a child, you begin putting layer upon layer of rationalization and excuses covering that deep pain."



"What we have to pray for when we pray for abortionist," says Fr. Pavone, "is that they have the courage to tear away, layer by layer, all the rationalizations and excuses that they tell themselves and the abortion propagandists tell them for doing this procedure. And as they go deeper and deeper into the core of their own heart they face that pain. And it's facing that pain that they need the grace to be able to do, so they can bring that pain to the cross and repent of their acts of killing. Many have repented; many more will repent as we continue to pray for them so that abortion may end."
