Be Part of Pro Life History This Week!

In this video, Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, announces what will take place this week as the pro-life movement launches the nation's first Freedom Rides for the Unborn. On July 23 and 24, there will be events in Birmingham, AL and Atlanta, GA to proclaim the message that the pro-life movement is all about freedom. There will be a ride from Birmingham to Atlanta in a special Freedom Rides bus, and people will join in a caravan with their own vehicles. The ride will culminate in a prayer service at the tomb of Dr Martin Luther King, Jr.

In the course of this prayer service, a special litany based on Dr King's words and linking his message to the theme of pro-life will be prayed.

The week of the Freedom Rides also brings several other elements.

First, Priests for Life will release data gathered by the focus groups and professional polling it commissioned this Spring through "the polling company/Woman Trend." This data examines attitudes in the African-American community toward abortion and the best messaging to use.

Second, Priests for Life will launch a new anthem for the pro-life movement. Written by Christian music artist Jamie Owens Collins, this song, "The Least of These," will be used at the Freedom Rides event and made available to the entire movement.

Finally, the Freedom Rides are not just about the events in particular cities. Rather, they are about pro-life people declaring themselves "Freedom Riders for the Unborn" and undertaking pro-life activities in their own communities.
