Many people take Bible verses and paragraphs out of context, not taking into account passages and chapters and books as a whole. One example is Romans 1, 2 and 3, in which Paul makes a couple of smaller points to lead up to a much larger point - the gift of justification and life. It's not about using Romans 1 to make a list of sins for people to avoid, and to go around making laws based on them. And as Romans 2 says, it's inexcusable to go around judging others, because apart from Christ we're ALL in the same boat! (Ungodliness and unrighteousness).
