Through It All

On June 24, 2002, a chartered bus contracted by Metro Church from Garland, Texas, was headed to Louisiana State University for church camp. At 9:10 a.m. outside of Terrell, Texas, it veered off the highway crashing into a concrete bridge support pillar, ripping the bus in two and killing the driver and four teenagers. Terri De Shazo-Arnett’s son, Jeremy, was a p##!enger. Thrown outside of the bus Jeremy’s twisted and broken body lay motionless while emergency crews gave attention to others, believing he was dead.
