Abram and Sarai doubt the Lord's promise of a great nation, the Lord reiterates more clearly the promise with a visual image: as many stars in the sky, so shall your descendants be! Sarai takes matters in her own hands, gives Hagar her servant to Abram, and they have a son named Ishmael, then Sarai gets jealous. Later, the Lord changes names to Abraham and Sarah - Genesis 15-17
