Cast Your Bread Upon the water
In the Book of Ecclesiastes, King Solomon espoused the need to enjoy our wealth now. He lamented the fact that we work so hard to make wealth, only to leave it to someone who will not treasure it. Because of the fleeting nature of riches – here today and gone tomorrow – he concluded that the best a man can do is to eat, drink and be merry. However, toward the end of the book, he said, "Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it again" (Eccl. 11:1).

Today's Devotional
A Prayer to Help You Comfort Others - Your Daily Prayer - April 25
