Worshipping the 1 and Only. as we long for Him to come pt 2

5-28-2008 Part 2 HOMERUNis more than an American past-time. The batter hits the ball far, he leaves home to run the diamond, and then returns home...without stopping. In life, a person leaves the proverbial home of innocence and safety with God in the womb to run the proverbial diamond of life. Along the route, Jesus offers himself as the way for the person to return home to God. By trusting in and uniting to Jesus, an eagerness begins to grow within. It becomes the disciples new instinct. He/She isnt satisfied just running the bases of liferunning home is now the goal. Anticipation compounds through lifes pains and trials as a Christ-follower. We can relate. Its with that uneasiness we can echo what the early saints cried to Jesus: Come, Lord Jesus. For when He comes again will we truly be home. Lets use this morning to help us lean towards Christ!!
