'You Raise Me Up' Southern Raised Bluegrass Band

Feel the grace of God wash over you as Southern Raised Bluegrass performs ‘You Raise Me Up.’

Over the years, this song has truly become one of the most iconic numbers of all time. Beloved tenor Josh Groban propelled this song to popularity, but countless artists have covered the tune since that time. The heartfelt lyrics resonate with so many people around the world and the words remind us all that there is always a shoulder to turn to and a helping hand within reach.

“When I am down, and, oh, my soul, so weary
When troubles come, and my heart burdened be
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me”

Siblings Lindsay, Sarah, Emily and Matt make up the Southern Raised Bluegrass band. The group was raised in the Ozark Mountains and they have blended their traditional music upbringing with multiple genres and their deep-rooted faith.

Today, they're using their one-of-a-kind sound to perform a stunning rendition of ‘You Raise Me Up.’

“You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be”

As you listen to these words, we are all reminded that we are safe in the arms of the Lord. Even during troubling times, we can always turn to Him for comfort and support. Put your trust in Him and there is no obstacle too big to overcome.
