The beloved children’s story comes to life in a whole new way with the upcoming film, ‘Dolittle.’
Dr. John Dolittle is the title character of the popular Hugh Lofting book series. It all started in 1920 with the release of ‘The Story Of Doctor Dolittle’ about a talented doctor who can talk to animals.
With fifteen books in the series, Dr. Dolittle became a pop culture phenomenon spurning numerous movies, stage adaptations and even a stage musical. In 2020, the story becomes bigger than ever with the live action feature film starring Robert Downey Jr. as Dr. Dolittle.
After suffering the loss of his wife, the doctor becomes a recluse who hides away in his manor with only the company of his animals. For seven years, he shuts himself off from the world until the queen falls ill and requires his help.
As he searches for a cure, Dr. Dolittle sets out on an epic journey that combines exotic creatures, action and tons of adventure.
