Explanation of the painting, by Christa Rosier:
Green and blue (meadows and water) are colours that dominate the middle part of the painting; it is surrounded by 'dark shadows of the valley'.
Gods rod and staff are merged together at the right side of the painting to depict the menora (the 7-branched candlestick), which is symbolizing Gods' eternal presence.
In the foreground there is 'the feast' and a jar of oil.
In the background, a 'right path' which leads to the House of the Lord. At the bottom is written in Hebrew: 'The Lord is my Shepherd; I have all that I need. I will not be afraid.'
