4 Young Men Save A Stranger's Life When He Falls To The Ground

It was just another day out on the basketball court until four young men became heroes and saved a stranger’s life. After they watched him fall to the ground, they quickly stepped into action until the paramedics could arrive.

Mark, Ricardo, Kei’Shon, and Keijuan are from Virginia. This group of friends can usually be found playing pickup basketball behind their local middle school. One day, while they were playing, a father and son joined them on the court.

This was when their average day took a turn. The father collapsed on the ground and the young men knew that they needed to step in with some help.

At first, the guys thought that the father was just tired. “About two minutes later, he was still on the ground,” says Mark. “Then his son was just looking at us.”

Kei’Shon and Mark quickly went to the father to pick him up and see if he was breathing. Unfortunately, he was not responding.

“We tried to get the son away because he started crying. We didn’t want him to see his dad laid out,” explains Mark. “So, we got the boy in the car and I drove him to his mother’s house.”

While Mark was comforting the son and going to get his mother, Kei’Shon performed CPR on the father. He gives all the glory to God as to how he was able to help out during this emergency.

“I guess, you just give it all to God,” he says. “I guess He put my hands in the right spot.”

Once Mark arrived back to the scene with the son and his mother, all four of the young men made it a point to help keep the two of them calm while the paramedics showed up.

The effort that these friends put in to help save this man’s life was such a blessing to that family! Thank God that they were on that basketball court when that man suffered a cardiac arrest. They helped save his life and truly became heroes that day.
