Toddler Has The Biggest Smile When Dad Lets Him Drive The Boat

It doesn’t take a long time to make a major impact as we watch this toddler, who has the biggest smile when Dad lets him drive the boat. The video is literally 20 seconds at most, and while we could watch the interaction between father and son all day on repeat, just a few moments communicates a world of love between the two.

Emma Neu posted the video on TikTok, and millions of folks have watched and “loved” the mini-movie. Emma has quite a following on the social media platform, and, with posts like this, it is no wonder!

Emma’s dad has her little brother buckled safely into a Nemo-themed life jacket and sitting snugly on his lap. Dad gives a few words of guidance, and Emma’s brother stretches his little arm to move the gear shift to the proper position, his hand underneath Dad’s directing larger hand. Dad gives the precious boy a shake at the waist, and he turns in delight to look back at his father.

Bringing his attention to the front, Emma’s adorable sibling begins to have fun at the steering wheel. He leans side-to-side and turns the wheel a few times left and right, and Dad mimics the movement, smiling in delight himself.

The boat glides quickly on a beautiful, blue body of water. There are lovely homes and big trees to enjoy along the shore. This looks like a wonderfully relaxed day for their family. But, none of that compares to the complete bliss that these two fellas are sharing at this moment.

In the final seconds of the video, we see the pint-sized sailor, who has now become more confident, reach up again to grab the gear shift. He knows what he’s doing! His eyes are big, and he’s intent on doing this thing just right. Once he’s made the shifting maneuver, he looks back at Dad, who is now laughing at his son’s accomplishment and sense of pride. The exchange is beautiful and moving—one that makes memories to last a lifetime.

The video is set to the song “As The World Caves In” by Matt Maltese. The lyrics about the end of the world are not very uplifting, but this bit of time can’t be made sad by any song selection. It is one of utter bliss for Dad, for son, and for all those watching. We are sure glad you shared this family memory with us!
