Bluegrass Family Band Performs 'Steel Rails'

If you are looking to hear music to put a smile on your face check out this video of a bluegrass family band performing “Steel Rails.” This is a performance that you do not want to miss.

In this video, a group called The Petersons with various talents joyfully sing harmonies, play guitar, violin, bass, and banjo. There is also a unique instrument on the right called a mahogany Scheerhorn. The lead vocalist has a natural and angelic quality in her voice. The musicians play in such unity and appear to be having a great day on the green grass with a gorgeous background. The Petersons perform regularly live and are an incredibly talented group. This video was so well done and performed live.

This country piece was written by Louisa Branscomb and performed by Alison Kraus. It shares hope in looking forward in life even though we may not know what lies ahead.

I don't mind not knowing what lies down the track
Cause I'm Looking out ahead, to keep my mind from turning back
Steel rails, chasing sunshine round the bend
Winding through the trees, like a ribbon in the wind

Life is unpredictable and it can be hard not knowing our futures, but as believers, we have confidence in Who holds our future. In this life, we will have troubles, but Christ has overcome the world. As you enjoy this upbeat and happy musical performance, may it remind you that we can trust in our Lord and choose joy even when life is unknown. When we have Jesus, we are forgiven and we have the hope of Heaven.

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." 1 Peter 4:8
