Granddaughter Of Loretta Lynn Sings Inspiring Song On Overcoming Addiction

Listen to Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter sing an inspiring song about overcoming addiction. It’s a great anthem for fighting any battles we may go through.

Tayla Lynn grew up watching her memaw and dad perform on tons of different stages. She sang along from backstage ever since she can remember. Once she learned she could use her grandma’s name to get drugs and go to parties, Tayla lost her strength to addiction.

After turning to God and successfully completing rehab, her sobriety lasted almost 10 years. During that time, she joined the trio, Stealing Angels, and followed in her grandma’s musical footsteps.

Unfortunately, Tayla lost her way again when she gave birth to her first son. She had a c-section and got strong pain medications that soon took over her life again. Soon, she found her way back to God because he truly never gave up on her. Just like he will never give up on any of us.

Tayla specifically wrote this song about struggling with drugs and alcohol, but it can definitely inspire you during your own hardships regardless of what those may be.

I went down to Shelby, chasing some relief
Anything to get away from me
I was lookin’ for redemption in a stranger’s eyes
Lord don’t give up on me

No matter what your demons are, you’re never alone. God will never forget you or leave your side through all the battles you may face. Just remember, that you can find your faith again, no matter what.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. Psalm 46:1-3
