Does God Get Jealous?

God refers to Himself as "jealous" in several parts of Scripture (Ex. 20:5; 34:14; Deut. 4:24; 5:9; 6:15; 29:20; 32:16, 21; Josh. 24:19; Ps. 78:58; 79:5; Eze. 16:42; 23:25; 36:5, 6; 38:19; 39:25; Nah. 1:2; Joel 2:18; Zeph. 1:18; 3:8; Zech. 1:14; 8:2; 1 Cor. 10:22). "Jealousy" usually denotes resentment towards another (usually a rival) due to their success or fears of their unfaithfulness. Is this what is meant by God being jealous? In this teaching, you will learn about the PASSIONATE LOVE of a holy God who cares deeply for you. For more Bible studies, visit us at vindicatinggod.org
