'As For Me' Pat Barrett Featuring Chris Tomlin Live Performance

Christian artists Pat Barrett and Chris Tomlin lead us in worship with the words of ‘As For Me.’ This modern-day hymn is based off the classic Bible verse in Joshua 24:15.

“Your love oh Lord is strength to my soul
Hope for tomorrow it won’t let go
Your presence is the joy of my life
To You I lift my eyes”

These two powerhouse vocalists are known all throughout the Christian music scene. Both are most notable for their contribution to the megahit, ‘Good Good Father.’

Pat penned the iconic words while Chris recorded the vocals. Today, they’re back together for another incredible song all about the love and strength that comes from the Lord.

Just listen as they belt out the words to ‘As For Me’ from Pat’s newest album, Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly.

“As for me and my house we will serve the Lord
We will sing of Your love forevermore
As for me and my house we will serve the Lord
Serve the Lord”

On Instagram, Pat wrote about the inspiration behind the song. “I’m the son of a preacher. I grew up around this verse my whole life. Now having kids of my own it just takes on such a different light. Means more and more to me every day. “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

What a powerful reminder of God’s call for us to spread His message throughout the land.

Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
