Guitar Quartet Performs 'The Sound Of Silence' Live

Be transported back in time as you listen to 40 Fingers perform a live rendition of ‘The Sound Of Silence.’

Simon & Garfunkel originally released this iconic song in 1964. Since that time, many artists have lent their voices to the tune. One of the most well known covers comes from the rock band, Disturbed, in 2015.

Recently, a cappella group Pentatonix released their own version and it skyrocketed the tune back into popularity. Today, we’re hearing an entirely new rendition, with a nod to classical music, and it’s absolutely stunning.

“Hello darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping, Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains within the sound of silence”

40 Fingers is a guitar quartet comprised of members Matteo Brenci, Emanuele Grafitti, Marco Steffè, Andrea Vittori. This talented group of musicians takes beloved classics and gives them a unique and instrumental makeover.

From hits such as ‘Back In Black’ and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ there is always something special about each arrangement from 40 Fingers.

Today, they’re sharing a live performance of ‘The Sound Of Silence’ from a recent live stream concert and it’s absolutely chilling. From the melody to the twang of the strings, the performance is sheer perfection from beginning to end.

It’s always hard to cover such a classic song, but the men of 40 Fingers definitely did the tune justice.
