The short video starts off with one of the toddlers appearing to be upset. His toddler friend walks up to him and asks how he is doing.

“You okay?” the little boy asks the other little boy.

“Yeah,” he replies through tears.

Then his little friend embraces him with a big hug in order to help make him feel better. Now isn’t this just the type of kindness that the world needs more of! And sometimes you really do just need a hug to help turn your day around.

We could learn a thing or two from these sweet toddlers and how they show kindness and empathy toward one another.

Jesus even used children and their ways to teach lessons to us throughout scripture. One example can be found in Matthew 18:1-5. “At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, ‘Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?’ He called a little child to him and placed the child among them. And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.”

We all know what it feels like to be down in the dumps, and how nice it is to have a friend lift us up. When we are upset, it is so great to have friends and loved ones in our corner to help us with our burden. Just like this one toddler did for his little friend!
