Baby Loves When Mom And Dad Play Bluegrass Music

The love of music can start in infancy. Check out this adorable video of a baby who loves when mom and dad play bluegrass music.

At the start of this clip, John and Anna Dowling are sitting on each side of their baby with instruments in hand. Dad has a banjo and mom has a fiddle. They begin a fast-paced original song with their audience of one, their sweet baby.

The child looks enthralled by the sound and begins to pat his legs to the beat. He focuses on his parent’s special musical moments.

As mom pulls her bow slowly on the fiddle, his head tilts preciously upward. Then, he opens his mouth with the biggest smile grabbing his toes and swaying. This doll baby then sticks one finger in his mouth and taps his dad, wanting him to join in on the fun.

The child pats and grabs a blanket moving to the rhythm as if he has his own instrument.
I love how these parents are exposing their child to a high level of music appreciation at such a young age. Their song is unique and joyful. The baby could not help but dance along and appreciate their hard work in creating this melody.

God tells us to make a joyful noise in Psalm 100. This bluegrass song reminded me of that verse because this couple is bringing their infant into a joyful moment of music. The gift of music helps us to express our emotions in a unique way. God partially created music so that we could enjoy the beauty and delight of it. Today, may we remember to make our own joyful sounds.

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing." Psalm 100:1-2
