Parents Share Genius Tip For Getting Toddler To Eat Vegetables

We do not always naturally choose the foods which are best for us. And it’s especially hard sometimes to convince children to make healthy choices. In this hilarious video, parents share a genius tip for getting a toddler to eat vegetables.

Eric and Alina live in Holyoke, Massachusetts, and have an adorable daughter named Sophia. Like any young child, Sophia does not naturally love to eat her vegetables.

Sometimes as parents, we have to get creative on how to give our children the nutrients that they need. These parents decided to trick their toddler into eating her vegetables.

At the beginning of the video, one parent covers Sophia’s eyes and each spouse holds a different item. Mom has the Reddi Whip spray bottle and Dad has the Go-Go Squeeze veggie pouch. Alina gently sprays the whipped cream bottle with nothing coming out while Eric squirts the veggie pack into Sophia’s mouth. This little girl thinks that she is receiving whipped cream. Sophia seems like she is ok with what she just ate. At the end of the clip, Alina asks if Sophia wants more and Sophia closes her eyes in expectation to get more “whipped cream.”

This makes me think about how it is so easy to do things that we know are not good for us. Our sinful desires so often take us to the “whipped cream,” when we know that God wants us to “eat our vegetables.” Choosing God’s way is not always the easiest or the most fun in the moment, but it leads to the greatest rewards and benefits us in amazing ways.

“For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law." Galatians 5:17-18
