Carrie Underwood Sings Anointed Rendition Of ‘How Great Thou Art’
One of the biggest names in music today used her beautiful voice to sing a classic and one of the most beloved hymns of all time.
American Idol has been on for decades. Several people have filled the judges' chairs throughout the popular show’s long run. The program has also produced a few notable singers, including Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Singers and Scotty McCreery.
However, arguably, the most successful, most recognizable person from the television show is country singer Carrie Underwood.
In a video posted to YouTube, the country music singer belts out the lyrics to the hymn “How Great Thou Art.” Carrie’s dazzling voice and the magnificent lyrics are a perfect match, making for a sweet, touching and heartfelt rendition.
“Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee”
What a truly wonderful song of praise about the sacrifice and greatness of the Lord!
Others who commented on the video mentioned how much they loved Carrie’s version of the timeless classic.
“There are many people who can sing this song, but no one can do it with feeling and that God given voice like Carrie Underwood,” one person wrote.
“No one sings this song like Carrie,” a second person added.
“The only person who can one-up Carrie Underwood is Carrie Underwood. My God. Phenomenal!” someone else posted.
While Carrie, like most songs, knocks this beloved hymn out of the park, it is not her only attempt at a hymn. The video’s description states that her version of “How Great Thou Art” is on an album of Carrie singing gospel hymns.
Psalm 86:9-10 “All nations whom you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord; and shall glorify your name. For you are great, and do wondrous things: you are God alone.”

A Prayer When a Situation Seems Impossible - Your Daily Prayer - April 24
My wife has recently painted these words on a wall in our house as a reminder to us both: “Mightier than the waves of the sea, is His love for us!” (Inspired by Psalm 93:4). Please remember this. Mightier than the tempest you are facing is His love for you!
