Funny 'Thank God I'm A Country Boy' Video From A Cappella Group Home Free

You have to check out this funny music video that a cappella group Home Free put together for their cover of 'Thank God I'm A Country Boy' by John Denver.

“Well life on the farm is kinda laid back, ain't much an old country boy like me can't hack
It's early to rise, early in the sack, I thank God I'm a country boy
Well a simple kinda life never did me no harm, a raisin' me a family and workin' on the farm
My days are all filled with an easy country charm, thank God I'm a country boy”

The a cappella boys of Home Free never fail to impress me. And hearing their rendition of 'Thank God I'm A Country Boy' from John Denver is no exception. Plue the funny video that goes along with it will just make you smile!

In the music video, the Home Free members are seen chopping wood, drinking beer around a grill, riding a tractor, and just hanging out on a farm. Then one of the guys packs up a bag and heads into the big city. He is seen riding public transportation, getting a cup of coffee from a local coffee shop, and enjoying some take out on the couch in a city apartment. But before long, he misses the country life and heads back to the farm to be reunited with his “country boys.”

The song 'Thank God I'm A Country Boy’ was originally released in 1974 and written by John Martin Sommers for John Denver. But it wasn’t until the live version of the song that was included on John Denver’s 1975 concert album, An Evening With John Denver, that the song got its full recognition. The song got so big that John Denver would later host a variety show in 1977 by the same name.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to Home Free’s rendition of this hit today!
