'Be Thou My Vision' Celtic Worship Performs Classic Hymn

The beautiful voices of Celtic Worship come together and sing the classic hymn ‘Be Thou My Vision.’ This 8th century Irish hymn was originally translated by Eleanor Hull in 1912. The version that we hear today is sung to the famed Irish folk tune ‘Slane.’

Over the years, many Christian artists and other musicians have covered the hymn, leading to its growing popularity. Despite its age, the powerful words of this hymn still ring true today.

“Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;
naught be all else to me, save that thou art -
thou my best thought, by day or by night;
waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.”

Celtic Worship is comprised of many talented Scottish musicians and ‘their mission is to combine their working life as professional musicians with their deep love of Jesus and their passion to share God’s love through their music.’ Today, they’re belting out the beloved words of ‘Be Thou My Vision’ and it’s the perfect reminder that God is always in control.

“Be thou my wisdom, and thou my true word;
I ever with thee and thou with me, Lord.
Thou my great Father; thine own may I be,
thou in me dwelling and I one with thee.”

During the good times and the bad, God is always there for us. He will never lead us astray and His arms are open to guide us home.

Deuteronomy 10:17 “For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe.”
